Academic Instruction

While pursuing my PhD in English, I had full course responsibility for numerous sections of Writing 1, the only course required of all students at Washington University in St. Louis. I later became a discussion section leader for the Film and Media Studies Program.

I have subsequently accepted adjunct teaching opportunities at St. Louis Community College and Lindenwood University. Below you can find course documents assembled for some of those courses. For the Lindenwood document, I have also included the results of student evaluation of my teaching performance.

Lindenwood University: ENG 170

This document contains all of the course documents that I prepared for Lindenwood University for the Spring 2012 semester. I taught three sections of "Composition II," a required course in advanced rhetoric. I taught this class in a brick-and-mortar classroom, but I incorporated Blackboard extensively into the course to enhance the learning experience.
